Faculty Development-Award Leader Workshop
The Faculty Development Programme on “Promoting Youth Volunteerism and Skill Development through Global Recognition” /Award Leader Training Workshop was conducted with Special Focus to #ChallengeIndia – International Special Project of International Award for Young People, India, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, which was organized by -ADF,India in association with #Dept of Business Administration, Auxilium College on 10th Feb 2016.
The youth for youth led organization (ADF), India aims to inspire, inform, engage, enable, and empower youth for global understanding and sustainable development by using various measures starting from mutual dialogue, education, sports, rural development, policy making, adolescent health, environment, women empowerment, social entrepreneurship, vocational training, etc. The International Award for young People (IAYP), The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the special project of the ; the Faculty Development Programme was conducted in accordance with the IAYP Award. The faculty members where given the orientation about the IAYP Award programme and their roles to be as a Award Leader.
Around 60 faculties from 10+insitutions, NGOs, Youth workers participated in this workshop and empowered to support youth development programme in their institutions. In this workshop the faculty members were taught the life skills and also they were made to do some activity to involve them in the Award Leader Workshop.
The Faculty Development –Award Leader Workshop was conducted on 10th February, 2016. In this workshop the introduction about the International Award for Young People (IAYP) was given to the faculty members, who has attended this workshop from the different institution, where the Delegate from Delhi came to teach the faculties about the importance of Award Leaders and showed some videos related to the IAYP. He interacted with the faculties and conducted some activities to refresh them as well as encourage them to be the part of the Award Leader. The activities such as blind game – two members per team, where one of the partners is tied up their eyes and other partner will help them out to reach the correct path. The team which reaches at first is placed the first position in the game. The another game was also conducted on the basis of timing, where the faculties were divided into many teams and they were asked to walk on the numbers which was spread over the floor within given time. At last the orientation about the purpose of the Award leader workshop was given and also the roles and responsibilities of the Award Leaders are taught to them.
