Audacious dreams foundation (Youth resource center and Institute of youth affairs and social development) in association with United Nations and Rajiv Gandhi National institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Rotract club of Gudiyattam conducted an International Youth Day Celebration on 14th September, 2013. On behalf on International Youth Day and Indian Independence Day ADF organized multiple events, such as :

1. Rally/walkathon on Eradicating child labor, Reducing school drop outs.
2. Distribution of leaflets regarding promoting higher education for rural youth.
3. Mainstreaming youth in local Governance. Youths were induced to participate in Grama Sabha /local administrative /people’s parliament meeting.
4. Promoting Rajathi Raja- an inter school/college talent hunt competition.
5. Distributing free Stationeries to Village Panchayat School.

A Rally at bus stand was organized by Mr. Dinesh Gajendran, Catalyst of ADF with the great support of students of Indian Institute of Paramedical and some volunteers of ADF from Chennai. In seventh day Adventure school, Mr. Dinesh Gajendran gave the speech about the importance of International Youth Day. Mainstreaming youth in local Governance and Inducing youth to participate in Grama Sabha /local administrative was the main aim of Audacious Dreams Foundation on that day. People’s parliament meeting was held at Thalayattam Village Panchayat, Gudiyattam.  Street play was organized to give awareness about Youth in the Grama Sabha. The youth contributed their time to the Grama Sabha meeting with self help group, thalayattam village panchayat, gudiyattam union, Vellore was also held to empower the Women in the society. Our Youth Resource centre volunteers with Thendral Nayagan-President Thalayatham Village Panchayat had an interaction in order to engage the youth in local administrative. Face painting competition was held on that day.

Sub-collector visited to the Village Panachayat and had an interaction with the Volunteers of Youth Resource Center. The youth observed the Grama Sabha activities engaged with the people in the Panchayat. The facilities required to the people were put forward to the president and the solutions were given to the the people. The schemes which were provided to the people of that Panchayat were list out infront of the people by the Panchayat committee member. The performed schemes for the 2012 were also put forward to the people. The cleanliness of the village and street light facilities and water supply facility were checked out through the people.
