Rotary International Group Study Exchnage
Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a non-political and non-sectarian organization open to all people regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, or political preference. There are 34,282 member clubs worldwide. 1.2 million individuals called Rotarians have joined these clubs.
Rotary International Group Study Exchange programme is one of the exchange programme organized between two Rotary International Districts. Rotary International District 3230 has organized a Group Study Exchnage between India & Germany. Our Catalyst & Executive Director Mr.Dinesh Gajendran has been selected as Young Professional to represent Rotary District 3230 in this Group Study Exchange along with 4 young professionals from the Rotary International District 3230. In Germany Rotary International District 1880 has been hosted GSE. GSE program is an unique cultural & vocational exchange opportunity for the Young professional.
Indian team arrived Leipzig, Germany on 26th May 2013 than they have visited Monument. They had a Dinner at Sobher residence, Incoming president of Rotary Club of Leipzig Herbst 89. In the next day our delegates attended Joint meeting with Rotary clubs in Leizig hosted by District Governer Horst Simpler and first Lady Helga Rotary International District 1880, North Bavaria & Saxony. Then Indian Delegates performed Group Dance by and also Solo Dance by our catalyst and Executive Director Mr.Dinesh Gajendran & Sasi, Indian Delegate.
28th May 2013 Indian delegates Visited Berlin with Mr.Horst Simpler, District Governer of Rotary International District 1880. Then they have visited Parliament , Ministry of Defence, Indian Embassy and had a meeting with Deputy Chief of the Mission then US Check point & Berlin wall monument. In 30th May 2013 young professionals of GSE team visited Translational centre for Regenerative Medicine, Leipzig University and Labs to attended lecture from scientists. Then they have visited to Leipzig Zoo after that they went to Volkswagen plant to understand the process of craeting design of a car and Business startegies.
Rotary Club of Freiburg invited our young professionals to visit Freiburg, in 30th May 2013 they have visited Freiburg and went to Posche. Then to extent the friendship and bonding with the families our young professionals visited church, mineral museum ,Mayor office and had a city tour with their host family Ryke. Then they had a dinner at Indian Restaurant on 1st June 2013.
In 2nd June 2013 our Indian team arrived at Czech Republic – Paraguay in the next day they had a vocational Visit to Freiburg University _International Division. Then they arrived to Amberg and had amazing city tour. Afterwards they arrived at widen and had a dinner with host families of GSE.
12th June 2013 young professionals of Indian delegates had a Reception at Univeristy of Widen to understand the educational methods and University systems of Germany. Then they have arrived at Regensburg had a city tour, town hall and church. 13th June 2013 they had an interesting Vocational visit at Youth Migration service.
In 14th June 2013 had a Vocational visit at University of Regensburg- International Division followed by Rotary club & Rotaract club meeting. In 15th June our Indian team cooked Indian food for the host family, they have prepared Vegetable pulav, Uppuma,Vegetable curry, Milk desert,Egg podimas. 15th June Indian delegates Arrived at Elangen and participated in Dragon boat race as part of Rotary clubs of Elrangen. 17th June they had a meeting with Deputy Mayor of Erlangen Mrs Elisabeth Pruess and Department of Infrastructure for children and youth – Erlangen. 21st June they visited to Erlangen-Nurnberg University, International University centre – Annemarie and perlick then 22nd June had a city tour followed by Farewell dinner was hosted by Rotary International District 1880.
After a long visit and bonding our Indian delegates depart from Nurmberg on 23rd June 2013. Its was an amazing experience to all of them.
