SUNFO Youth Goodwill Ambassador for India Mr.Dinesh Gajendran SUNFO was invited by His Excellency Mike Nithavriankis, British Deputy High Commissioner for India,Chennai to attend the Great British Sports Festival Gala Dinner and closing ceremony with Abinav Bindra Indian Olympic Gold Medalist on March16.
Mr.Dinesh Gajendran received “Community Hero” Award in The Great British Sports Festival and Abhinav Bindra Foundation’s “Local Sporting Hero”Awards held at The British Deputy High Commission -Chennai. The reception dinner hosted by H.E. Mike Nithavrianakis, Deputy High Commissioner was a distinguished gathering of Olympians as well as International and National sports stars.
Mr.Dinesh is a Peter Cruddas Regional Intern- Asia Pacific Region,The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association. He is a Supportive Fellow Life Member of SUNFO.He served as a Volunteer member of South Asian Youth Peace Camp (SAPYC) held in Negombo, Sri Lanka in December,2011. He coordinates and promote Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) activities across India as well as in Asia & Pacific Countries while leading a team of nominated Youth Community Service Ambassadors (YCSA) for GYSD-2012 as an Official Representative of GYSD Asia & Pacific Regional Partners Coordinating Center –SUNFO.
As a ambassador he had a global goodwill network with unique talent development programs. It created a great Communication and social media training. many events like Round table discussions with business leaders, Face-to-face meetings with cultural front-runners were benefited. The great experience was got in professional and social domains.It created a nationwide Danish development program and network for young global talents. The program connects international students from all over the world with business leaders, cultural frontrunners and academic scholars in Denmark, while offering a high level of professional experience in a fun and social environment. Selected students will be awarded the honorary title of Youth Goodwill Ambassador. In return, we ask you to act on a voluntary basis as a goodwill ambassador in order to promote Denmark as an attractive study and future career destination.
Youth goodwill ambassadors
Together with four other universities in Denmark, Aarhus University is a part of the Youth Goodwill Ambassador Corps.
The Youth Goodwill Ambassador Corps (YGA) is a global network of talented international students, who among other things brand Denmark as an attractive study destination.
All members of the network study in Denmark while taking part in a unique talent development program.
Today the network consists of more than 200 international students from more than 50 countries worldwide. Of these about 50 are from Aarhus University.
The ambassadors from Aarhus University have also been extremely talented and as you can read in the articles below, they have also won national competitions among all Youth Goodwill Ambassadors in Denmark.
